Greetings ARIA members:
Today’s listserv contains the following:
· Asia-Pacific Journal of Risk and Insurance Call for Papers, Book Review Editor appointment, and Country Report editors posting
· Important ARIA Executive Office announcement regarding election ballots
Asia-Pacific Journal of Risk and Insurance
Call for Papers. The journal welcomes high quality academic papers. You may get more information, including the call for papers, at www.apria.org
Country Reports Editor Needed. The editors of APJRI, an academic journal of Asia-Pacific Risk and Insurance Association, are searching for an editor (or two) to manage the country report section of the journal. Country reports may include recent developments in insurance markets, regulations, or risk management practice. They would welcome brief, well-written case studies or examples from any Asia-Pacific countries. Since this is a new area, the editor in charge would have a lot to do with how it develops. The country report editor would be responsible for fomenting this activity, recruiting authors, and producing at least one country report per issue. If you are interested, please contact the editors at APJRI@apria.org. If you can recommend someone, that would also be welcome.
Book Review Editor. We are pleased to announce that Professor Andreas Richter of Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich has accepted the position of Book Review Editor. Andreas is enthusiastic, and has already set up a web site where you can volunteer to review a book from the list and suggest titles of books you would like to have some review. The site URL is: www.inriver.bwl.uni-muenchen

Fellow ARIA members,
The executive office received messages from several members who have not received their ballots for the 2006 election of officers. The ballots were shipped on April 7 using DHL business mail. The office is in the process of investigating the reason for the delay. In the meantime, the executive office will send a replacement ballot to any current member who has not received a mailing. E-mail the executive office at aria@cpcuiia.org or call (610) 640-1997.
Because an indeterminate number of mailings have not arrived at their intended destination, the due date for the ballots has been withdrawn and will be reset when the executive office has more information. Any member who received a ballot is encouraged to return it ASAP. Please be sure to place your name on the return envelope. Names of all members who cast a vote will be recorded in case there is a need to identify who voted in the election.
Thank you for your cooperation.
