 Wiley-Blackwell Publisher’s Report for 2007 ARIA's Board of Directors would like to share information about ARIA’s relationship with Wiley-Blackwell Publishing.  The attached report reflects activities conducted in 2007.  We hope you find this report interesting and useful.  Proprietary information has been removed to comply with a request from Wiley-Blackwell.

 Proposed Amendments to ARIA’s By-Laws The process of securing nominees to the slate of officers for election to ARIA’s Board occasionally runs into delays.  As a result, two amendments to the By-Laws are proposed.  The changes are presented in blue font.  Items written in red font are provided for reference. The proposed amendments to ARIA’s By-Laws will be offered to the membership as two separate votes at the Tuesday, August 5, 2008 general membership meeting to be held in Portland, Oregon. Amend the By-Laws as follows: Section IV   Election and Election Procedure B.   A report (that contains the list of nominees) of the Committee on Nominations shall be sent to the membership at least 150 days (currently 180 days) prior to the  scheduled annual meeting. 

D.      Ballots to be Counted.  All ballots to be counted must be received by the Executive Director not less than 60 days (currently 90 days) prior to the scheduled annual meeting, and both the voters and the nominees must have paid their dues for the current year.  The Board of Directors shall prescribe the method of signing and counting ballots so as to maintain the integrity of the election process.
