 Grants Available to Graduate Students 

Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans Offers Support for Graduate Education

The fellowships are grants for up to two years of graduate study in the United States.  A fellow may pursue a graduate degree in any professional field (e.g., engineering, medicine, law, social work, etc.) or scholarly discipline in the humanities, social sciences, and sciences.  The fine and performing arts are included.A "New American" is an individual who 1) is a resident alien (i.e., holds a Green Card); or 2) has been naturalized as a U.S. citizen; or 3) is the child of two parents who are both naturalized citizens.  Click on the link below for additional information. http://foundationcenter.org/pnd/rfp/rfp_item.jhtml?id=223800016

 ARIA 2008 Annual Meeting Industry Panel Session update Correction:  At the Industry Panel Session on Monday, August 4, at the ARIA Annual Meeting, it was incorrectly stated that the American Institute for CPCU/Insurance Institute of America provides its textbooks to college students at half price.  Here is the current policy from the 2008 catalog: Reduced Exam Fees - The Institutes offer a reduced exam fee if you are engaged full time as - An employee of a state or federal insurance regulatory agency- A teacher in an accredited college or university- A student in an accredited college or university To qualify for the reduced fee (50% of the Prometric Discounted Fee or of the On-site test center fee), submit the registration form and a letter from your registrar, department head, advisor, or employer, specifying your full time status each time you register for an exam.  Registrations must be received on or before the first day of the testing window to qualify. 

 ARIA 2008 Annual Meeting Evaluation Form If you have attended the 2008 Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon and have not completed an evaluation, attached is a copy for your convenience.  Please take a few minutes to complete and return to the ARIA Executive Office at aria@cpcuiia.orgWe appreciate your comments and/or suggestions.  Thank you to those attendees who have already completed an evaluation form.
