University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign The Department of Finance at the University of Illinois seeks to fill one or more full-time faculty positions, at any rank, in all areas of finance, including insurance. For full consideration, applications must be submitted prior to December 17, 2007. Please see the attached document for additional details.
The Chinese University of Hong Kong The Department of Finance at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is accepting applications for Associate Professor/Assistant Professor/Professional Consultant. The application deadline is January 4, 2008. Please see the attached document for additional details.
Les B. Strickler Innovation in Instruction Award 2008 Call for Proposals
ARIA members and others interested in risk management and insurance education are invited to submit proposals detailing innovative ideas that they have developed and used in risk management and insurance instruction. The winner will make a presentation at the ARIA 2008 Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon. The deadline for proposals is February 28, 2008. All proposals should be emailed to Nat Pope at Illinois State University at npope@ilstu.edu

ARIA Early Career Award for 2008 This award honors the distinguished achievement of RMI scholars who are within 10 years of award of Ph.D. Applicants should have a significant number of high-quality publications relative to the length of their academic career, as the award is intended to be a research award. The Early Career Scholar Award is a non-monetary award and will be awarded only when an exceptional candidate is identified. The application deadline is January 31, 2008. The application and supporting materials should be emailed to Richard Butler at richard_butler@byu.edu
