National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) The National Association of Insurance Commissioners is currently accepting applications for a Distinguished Scholar in Insurance Regulation at NAIC’s new Center for Insurance Policy and Research based in Washington, DC. Please see the attached document for additional information.
Excellence in Teaching Award for 2009 This award recognizes excellence in risk management and insurance teaching. Applicants should have a distinguished record of excellent teaching throughout their academic career. This Excellence in Teaching Award is a non-monetary award and will be awarded only when an exceptional candidate is identified. The application deadline is March 30, 2009. The application and supporting materials should be mailed to Dr. Lisa Gardner at Drake University. Please see the attached document for additional information and application.
Hedges Undergraduate Student Award The Hedges Undergraduate Student Award is presented to a full-time undergraduate student studying risk management, insurance, or a related field. The selected winner will be formally recognized at the Award’s Luncheon at ARIA’s annual meeting in August in Providence, Rhode Island. The award is intended to provide basic expenses of travel, lodging, food, and registration fees valued at $1,000 USD to attend the annual meeting. The deadline for proposals is May 15, 2009.
