 University of North Texas The University of North Texas, College of Business, Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate and Law is accepting applications for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Risk Management and Insurance beginning in the Fall 2009.  Please see the attached document for additional information.

 

 National Alliance Research Academy Grant Program The National Alliance Research Academy is proud to announce its first annual research grants.  Two grants will be awarded.  One grant will be open to all researchers; the second grant will be available only to students in approved master’s and Ph.D. programs of business study.  The first grant will be for $5,000; the student grant will be for $2,500.   Deadlines for the grant program are:

·        December 1, 2009 – Deadline for three-page proposal applications ·        March 1, 2010 – Announcement of grant awards

 The Academy will consider all insurance and risk management industry-related topics.  The Research Agenda published on the website for The National Alliance Research Academy is a guide to the topics that The Academy and its members are most interested in researching.  The Board of The Academy has reviewed this Research Agenda and established the following priorities (listed in rank order).

1. Careers in the risk management and insurance, with an emphasis on attracting people into the industry. 2. Understanding the independent insurance agency with an emphasis on agency strategy, sales processes, and sales management. 3. Understanding risk management and risk management consulting. 4. Understanding the insurance industry.

The Academy promotes and conducts practical research on all aspects of the risk management and insurance industry.
