ARIA Meeting Mentors Program At the 2006 Annual Meeting, ARIA launched the Meeting Mentors Program. The purpose of this program is to connect first-time attendees and new ARIA members with a long-time member so that they will feel welcome at the First Time Participants Reception, meet other members, and learn more about our organization. Those of us who have been coming to ARIA for many years can still remember those first few meetings we attended, where it seemed that everyone else knew each other. Mentors will be that "friendly face in a crowd," introducing the first-timer to others at the meeting, telling them about ARIA and its traditions, and generally helping them feel welcome. If you are an "experienced" ARIA member, please volunteer to be a Mentor this year by emailing Cassandra Cole, Chair of the ARIA Membership Committee at ccole@cob.fsu.edu We truly need your help!
All participants will need to arrive at the hotel in time for the First Time Participants Reception on Sunday evening August 2 at 5:00 PM in the Temple Lounge. Thank you.
