6th International Longevity Risk and Capital Markets Solutions Conference
The 6th International Longevity Risk and Capital Markets Solutions Conference is the major international conference
bringing together leading international industry and academic minds as well as policy makers to meet and discuss not only the assessment of longevity risk, but also the market and government developments and responses needed by pension funds and insurance
companies to manage this risk. The upcoming conference in Sydney Australia on 9 and 10 September is the Sixth following the highly successful events
over the last five years in London, Chicago, Taipei, Amsterdam, New York and now Sydney. The deadline for early bird registration is July 30. Given the attractive location, attendance at the
Sydney conference is expected to be strong including participants from Asia,
UK, Europe and the
Americas. The key themes of Longevity 6 are “Reinsurance and Financial Markets Solutions” and “Government Role, Public and Private Sector Solutions”. There will be plenary sessions on these themes along
with a Panel discussion. There will be a number of international plenary speakers including John Fitzpatrick (Director of the Life and Longevity
Markets Association (LLMA), Director of Pension Corp), Guy Coughlan (JP Morgan London Life metrics), Morton Lane (Lane Financial Chicago), Ross Jones (Member and Deputy Chairman of APRA, President of the International Organization of Pension Supervisors,
Deputy Chairman of the OECD Working Party on Private Pensions), Martin Clarke (Executive Director of Financial Risk, Pension Protection Fund, UK), Trevor Thomas (Personal and Retirement Income Division, Australian Treasury), Eytan Sheshinksi (The Hebrew University,
Jerusalem and Princeton University, Department of Economics and Woodrow Wilson School), John Piggott (Professor of Economics, Australian School of Business and Director AIPAR) and David Blake (Professor of Pensions Economics and Director of the Pensions Institute,
Cass Business School). There are 40 papers expected to be presented by leading researchers and practitioners from around the world including

Wiley-Blackwell Online Library Wiley Online Library will be launched over the weekend of 7–8 August 2010. We have added an additional two weeks to the schedule to provide extra time
for our society partners, customers and users to prepare for the cutover to Wiley Online Library, which will completely replace Wiley InterScience. Wiley InterScience will no longer be available from Saturday 7 August at 4am Eastern Daylight Time, 9am British
Summer Time, 4pm Singapore Standard Time. Wiley Online Library is due to go live on Sunday 8 August at 12pm Eastern Daylight Time, 5pm British Summer Time, Monday 9 August 12am Singapore Standard Time. Please be assured we are keeping our content loading embargo to a minimum and plan to stop loading new content just a day before the launch and resume loading three
days after launch. During this transition period, users will see a message explaining the reason for the unavailability and will be directed to www.wileyonlinelibrary.com/
SRIA 2010 Annual Meeting Call for PapersThe SRIA 2010 Annual Meeting will be held in November 21-23, 2010 in Charleston, South Carolina. The deadline for submissions is August 2. Please see the attached document for additional information.
CPCU Society’s 66th Annual Meeting and Seminars
The CPCU Society is pleased to announce the waiver of our 2010 CPCU Annual Meeting and Seminars registration fees for the first twenty-five (25) risk management and insurance students who register via the CPCU Member Resource Center (800) 932-2728 to join us in Orlando, Florida September 25th-28th. The goal is to help students who have demonstrated outstanding scholarship and a dedication to becoming an insurance professional learn the importance of the CPCU designation, the variety of career paths available in the insurance industry, and the concept of professionalism.....all while creating networking opportunities for each student. In addition, a "Student Program Fund" has been created into which CPCU Chapters are now contributing money and from which the Society will be able to reimburse a portion of each of the first 25 students' travel (air, hotel) expenses.
