Colorado State University, College of Business, Dept. of Finance & Real Estate The College of Business at Colorado State University is accepting applications for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of Finance and Real Estate.  Please see the attached document for additional information.

Griffith Insurance Education Foundation State Budgets and Pensions: Speaking Opportunity The Griffith Insurance Education Foundation is searching for an academic to present a luncheon seminar on November 18th in Austin, Texas to state policymakers at the National Conference of Insurance Legislators (NCOIL) Annual Meeting. If you are unfamiliar with NCOIL, they are state policymakers who either lead or serve on their states committee that deals with insurance. Our role as a non-profit is to provide unbiased, non-political education programs at their meetings.  Many times on issues such as this they are lobbied on both sides, but appreciate having an academic perspective to educate them on the basics of the topic, as well as options that may be available.  The detailed outline for the upcoming program is: STATE BUDGET CRISES AND PENSION SECURITY:  WHAT CAN STATES AFFORD?

*Defined benefit plans are straining state budgets.  What alternatives might assure retirement and healthcare security without worsening unfunded state liabilities?  Should states rein in lifetime income incentives for public employees? What does the Administration envision, and how might it impact states?  Can private insurers help?*
Griffith Insurance Education Foundation will cover your expenses as well as provide an honorarium for your work.  For additional information, please contact Jason Terrell, Director - Insurance Education Institutes at 614-880-9870.

International Insurance Society 47th Annual Seminar SAVE THE DATE!

The IIS 47th Annual Seminar will be held June 19-22, 2011 in Toronto, Canada.  Please visit the website at www.iisonline.org for additional information or to register.
