APRIA 2011 Annual Meeting Dear friends of the Asia-Pacific Risk & Insurance Association, I know that you are all concerned about the situation in Japan where we have so many friends and colleagues, and where APRIA’s annual meeting is set for July 31 – August 3, 2011. I have been in communication with Prof. Yasushi Morimiya, chairman of the host committee. You will be pleased to know that Prof. Morimiya and his family are well, as are other members of the host committee. Furthermore, it appears that the disaster is coming under control and hopefully it will be resolved soon. At this point, the host committee believes that it will be possible to hold the APRIA meeting in Tokyo as planned. They are assessing the situation daily and will contact us if there is any change. Meanwhile, plans for the meeting remain in place. If there is any change, we will let you know immediately. I look forward to seeing you in Tokyo in July! And, I hope that you will plan to spend some time touring parts of Japan. It is a most hospitable country and very beautiful! William H.
