University of PA The Wharton School

 

The Business and Public Policy Department of The Wharton School is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level.  The appointment is expected to begin July 1, 2012.  The application deadline is February 2, 2012.  Please see the attached document for additional information.

 

 

The Geneva Association Call for Papers

 

 The Geneva Association is pleased to announce a special issue of The Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance—Issues and Practice.  The deadline for submissions is October 15, 2011.  Please see the attached document for additional information or contact Etti Baranoff at etti_baranoff@genevaassociation.org

 

 

ARIA members

 

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) has named Robert Hartwig as recipient of their 2011 Chairman’s Award.  Bob is President of the Insurance Information Institute and currently serves on the ARIA Board of Directors.

 

Cal State University Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics has named Stephen D’Arcy (formerly from University of  Illinois Urbana-Champaign) as the Robitaille Chair in Risk and Insurance.  Steve is a past ARIA President from 1998-1999.

 

Weili Lu is this year’s recipient of Cal State University Fullerton’s Outstanding Faculty Award.  Weili serves as the Director of the Center for Insurance Studies and has been an ARIA member for many years.
