Dear Blackwell Synergy user

On October 13^th, 2007, Blackwell Synergy upgraded its login system to replace individual usernames with email addresses. This change will increase the security of your personal details and improve usability. If you have not already done so, please follow these steps to verify your individual user account.

What do I do now?

1. Go to MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "wiley-blackwell.msgfocus.com" claiming to be www.blackwell-synergy.com and enter your current username and password in the Email and Password boxes at the top of the page.

2. You will be asked to confirm or enter your email address, then click Submit. We will send a one-time verification email to the email address entered.

3. Check your inbox for a verification email from Blackwell Synergy. If you do not find the email, check your "Junk" folder in case it was mistakenly flagged as junk or spam.

4. Click on the link in the email to verify your identity. (Note that the verification link is valid for only 48 hours, after which you can repeat steps 1 and 2 for a verification email to be resent.)

5. You can now use your email address and password to log in to Blackwell Synergy.

If you access Blackwell Synergy content via your institution’s authentication, you will not need to update your account. However, if you use the personalized features in My Synergy, such as email alerts, favorite articles, etc, you will be required to verify your email address.

Library administrators: This change does not affect institutional remote username and password functionality. Remote users will still be able to log in using the remote username and password assigned by their institutional administrators.

ARIA’s new logo ARIA’s new logo is unveiled on Page 1. This new logo will appear on ARIA’s two journal covers, The Journal of Risk and Insurance and the Risk Management and Insurance Review, in addition to other ARIA materials, including future listserv announcements. Currently, the ARIA logo is not displayed on our journal covers. In addition, any display of our former logo presented ARIA’s initials on two separate lines. The purpose of the new logo is to make ARIA’s brand more visible to our readers and to the insurance community. We hope you agree.
