The Department of Actuarial Science at The University of Lausanne in Switzerland is accepting applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Actuarial Science. The application deadline is March 17, 2012. Please see the attached document for additional information.
Reviewers Needed for Student Research Papers
The CPCU Society has received an overwhelming response from college students seeking the CPCU Society Student Research Award. The Society has received both undergraduate and graduate student submissions. The CPCU Society Student Research Task Force is looking for academic faculty to judge the papers. A rubric for judging the submissions has already been developed and the expectation is that judges would review only 3 to 4 papers. The time period for judging the papers would be between March 1, 2012 and April 10, 2012. Interested faculty should contact Tony Biacchi at biacchi@theinstitutes.org
Gamma Iota Sigma 41st Annual International Conference

Gamma Iota Sigma, the international risk management, insurance, and actuarial science collegiate fraternity, is proud to provide you with the information regarding our 41st Annual International Conference to be held October 11-13, 2012 in Chicago, IL. After hearing the feedback of both you and our students, there are some exciting changes on the horizon for 2012, including the addition of Thursday afternoon Career Fair hours and an expanded number of available interview rooms for companies to conduct first-round interviews. As always, opportunities for companies to host educational sessions and provide keynote speakers still exist. We have also added a special Student Travel Fund in which companies can sponsor the travel of our students to Chicago by helping to offset the cost of the hotel rooms.
Our 2011 Conference held in Columbus, Ohio was an overwhelming success due to the support of our industry. 43 companies and organizations sponsored which was more than double the 2010 number of sponsors. Over 275 students from more than 30 colleges and universities were in attendance and those numbers are expected to grow to over 325 for this year’s conference. 2011 Sponsoring Organizations and 2011 Participating Colleges and Universities
