Institutes President’s CPCU Scholarships for 2012

 

The Institutes is accepting applications for its President’s CPCU Scholarships.  The President’s CPCU Scholarship is an opportunity for companies, organizations, colleges, and universities to nominate high-potential employees or students.  The scholarship covers the cost of the CPCU program including textbooks, course guides, exam registration fees, and SMART Study Aids.

 

For full-time college and university students, the President’s CPCU Scholarship will enhance their credentials to help them obtain their ideal position right out of the college.  Student scholarship applicants must be full-time students majoring in insurance, risk management, or finance and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher.  A nomination by the college president or dean is required.  Applicants must meet current Institute matriculation requirements and complete the program within three years.  No more than two recipients per college or university are eligible to receive the scholarship per year.

 

Corporate scholarship applicants must be nominated by the CEO or President of an organization with a minimum of 50 employees and be targeted for advancement in the next six to eighteen months.   No more than two recipients per company are eligible to receive the scholarship per year.  Applicants must meet current Institute matriculation requirements and the scholarship program expires in three years.

The Geneva Association Special Issue Call for Papers

 

The Geneva Association is accepting papers for a special issue of The Geneva Papers on Disaster Risk Reduction and Extreme Events in The Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance-Issues and Practice.  The submission deadline is November 1, 2012.  Please see the attached document for additional information.
